 Le automobili

Poche invenzioni hanno accompagnato l’evoluzione della società come l’automobile, il mezzo di trasporto per eccellenza. La sua storia racconta la storia dell’uomo, delle sue conquiste, delle sue battaglie, della formidabile corsa alla modernizzazione che ha segnato il XIX e il XX secolo.
Il Museo Nicolis dà vita e testimonianza a questa evoluzione attraverso centinaia di vetture perfettamente funzionanti, molte restaurate personalmente da Luciano Nicolis, tutte riportate all’antico splendore. E’ sorprendente vedere come l’automobile abbia segnato la vita delle persone negli ultimi due secoli, come abbia contribuito alla marcia delle donne verso l’autonomia e l’ indipendenza, come abbia attraversato il cinema consegnandoci immagini indimenticabili di corse, amori, tradimenti, fughe, viaggi, sfide che avevano tutti, in un modo o nell’altro, un’ auto al centro della scena. E come non pensare alle emozioni dello sport, al brivido della velocità, ai campioni leggendari che sfrecciano al volante dei loro bolidi, uomo e macchina una cosa sola, fino al traguardo, fino alla vittoria...
 

Le motociclette

Enrico Bernardi, inventore della “Motrice Pia”, il primo motore a benzina (uno dei gioielli ospitati al Museo Nicolis) ne sistemò uno proprio sul triciclo del figlio…e fu subito motocicletta!!!
  
Il Museo ne racconta la storia con 100 pezzi introvabili: i primi velocipedi, il primo scooter, le moto di prima generazione, i recenti bolidi mozzafiato. Un percorso per gli appassionati, per i romantici, per gli esperti, per chi sogna Easy Rider o ama i brividi della pista...
 

The four-wheeled myth
Few other inventions have accompanied the development of modern society like the car, the means of transport par excellence. Its story is the story of man, his conquests, battles, the headlong race for modernisation that marked the 19th and 20th centuries.
  
The Nicolis Museum gives life and witness to this evolution with a display of hundreds of perfectly working cars, many personally restored by Luciano Nicolis and all restored to their original splendour. It is surprising to see how a car has marked our lives over the last two centuries, how it helped women in their march towards autonomy and independence, how it passed through the cinema leaving us unforgettable films of races, loves and betrayals, escapes, journeys and challenges which all had a car at the centre of the scene somewhere or other. Not to forget the excitement given by the sports and high speed racing, with the legendary champions flying past behind the wheel of their racing cars, man and machine together as one through to the winning post and the victory...
 

From the velocipedes to breathtaking racing models
Enrico Bernardi, inventor of the “Pia Engine”, the first petrol engine (one of the jewels in the Nicolis Museum), fitted one on his son’s tricycle .. and it was immediately a motorbike!!!
  
The museum tells the story with 100 unfindable items: the first velocipedes, the first scooter, the first generation motorbikes, the recent breathtaking racing models. An itinerary for enthusiasts, romantics, experts who dream of Easy Rider and love the thrills of the race track…..
